CONSULTATIONS. Before scheduling a consultation please have the following ready
- A brief description of the garments you need tailored.
- The date you need your garments ready by.

Lastly, take a moment to read through my tailoring FAQs to learn more about my practices.
I have attached a download link so you may review my ALTERATIONS POLICY AGREEMENT before our consultation.
TAILORING FAQs
I schedule my tailoring appointments around my current schedule and existing clients. This can change the timeframe in which a garment is complete. Typically, a garment will be ready within three weeks. Your completion date will be discussed during your consultation and finalized during a fitting. I occasionally offer rush services for an added fee. I ask all potential clients to plan accordingly.
2.) How much does tailoring cost.Cost of alterations vary greatly depending on the garment, fabrics, timeframe requirements and my current schedule. Tailoring is a very specialized skill and dying artform. I offer reasonable rates for my time and skill.
You can find an outline of my services and pricing below.
3.) How can I pay?Alterations can be paid via cash, card, Venmo, PayPal, and Cashapp. I require an agreement to be signed at the time of your fitting appointment. This will outline the specified work, and I will also provide a receipt.
Most garments must be paid in full upfront. Occasionally I will provide a 50% down payment with the remainder to be paid 30 days after or upon pick up of your garment. Whichever comes first. This is provided as available and at my discretion.
4.) Can I schedule a consultation?Yes! Consultations are free. However, to safeguard my time, I limit tailoring consultations to approximately 10 minutes. I find that it is an adequate amount of time to discuss all your needs. I may refuse any consultation that does not align with my business goals or creative vision
Clients may book an extended consultation for up to 30 minutes for $50.00. This is to offer peace of mind to my clients who have a significantly larger project and require more time talking about fine details.
Booking an extended consultation does NOT guarantee I will take your alterations. This fee remains mine whether you choose to book a fitting appointment. This fee does NOT apply to your garment total.
5.) Where are you located?I am located in Downtown Buffalo, New York.
Alterations are limited to those in WNY – Buffalo, New York and surrounding areas. I will only take on clients who have the means to effectively travel to my studio and maintain all necessary fitting appointments. I do not travel for alterations.
6.) What is your background and experience?I started sewing at 12 years old, giving me over 20 years of experience. I started my business and brand, House of Raige, in 2019. From that point my life has been dedicated to the art and skill of tailoring, design and garment construction.
7.) How can I contact you?The most effective way to contact me and schedule a consultation and fitting will be phone, text, email, or Instagram or Facebook DM. I will not use any other form of communication for commissions. Clients must sign our custom garment agreements to finalize any project.
